The 7th China International Steel Construction Expo will be held in December, 2008 in Beijing. It's the earliest expo in this area in Mainland China. Started from 2001, the exhibition is held once every year, and the past six times have been a great success.

With the process of urbanization, industrialization and the development of new rural area, China would still be the world largest market for construction industry. With the nick name "green constructions", steel structure would play a more and more important role with its advantages on energy saving, space saving, material saving and environmental friendly.

As a platform to promote communication and exchange, China International Steel Construction Expo has not only witnessed the rapid development in this field, but also made great contribution to it.
Preparation and organization work of the exhibition has already started, and we sincerely invite our friends on steel structure and relevant field from both China and abroad to take part in this year's exhibition. We're looking forward to meeting you in Beijing, the beautiful city, after its holding the Olympic Games.

Metallurgical Council of CCPIT

China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) is an organization for China's steel industry. Converted from Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, it was established in Jan. 1999. Output of member companies occupied 80% of total in China in 2007. Main functions include: industrial research and study, regulations setting, involvement in the setting of development plan, policy, technology, economic and management standard; involvement in the feasibility study of key investment, reform and development projects; analysis, assessment and consultancy on management, strategy and economic indexes of members; collection and publication of industrial information; international communication on behalf of Chinese steel industry; coordination works on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy; coordination works on iron ore import and trade on steel products.

China Steel Construction Society (CSCS), established in June, 1984, is a national professional organization of economy and technology having the status of a legal person which is composed of enterprises and undertakings from the Chinese steel construction field. It is made up by scientists, engineering experts and enterpriser on a voluntary basis. There are more than 1500 group members in the CSCS, which are organizations of design, research, manufacture, erection, iron and steel works etc. They are under more than 10 ministries, commissions and corporations of metallurgy, construction petroleum, chemical industry, machinery, shipping, electric power, communications, aviation etc.

Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (MC-CCPIT) is an organization engaged in promoting foreign trade and economy cooperation for Chinese metallurgical industry. Established in 1988, it's the main organizer of conference and exhibition projects in metallurgical sector. Currently there're the following trade fairs: International Metallurgical Industry Expo (Metallurgy China), the All China - International Tube & Pipe Industry Trade Fair (Tube China), China International Metals Industry Fair (MetalsFair), Shanghai International Stainless Steel Expo (Stexpo), China International Steel Construction Expo (Constex). Conferences include: China International Steel Congress, China Int'l Steel & Raw Materials Conference, China Int'l Coking Technology & Coke Market Congress , International Conference on Steel Market and Trade , China International Stainless Steel Congress, IT for Steel Conference, China Int'l Metal Recycling Forum. Besides, more than ten groups are organized each year to participate in overseas trade fairs.
